If you don’t know which coffeemaker you can buy or use to make the best coffee for you, you are not alone. Maybe in a coffee shop they will take the espresso machine because it’s very versatile for all the preparations, doesn’t matter if is a latte, a cappuccino or an espresso. But if I want to know which one I prefer, the AeroPress is my choice, for its versatility and the overall notes of the cup, here we have for you some types of coffee methods, so next time you would choose for you own. FRENCH PRESS | IMMERSION |

French press is a no paper filter method, this small machine let the oils inside the coffee bean make it into the cup. These oils are the characteristics that gives the coffee its taste and are part of what allows you to start to distinguish between one variety of coffee from another.

Tip: Serve the coffee immediately after brewing so it doesn’t become bitter.

Grind Size: Coarse Grind Size

Amount: 20g 

Water: 360ml Water

Time: 5 Min

 

V60 | DRIP |

The Dripper of V60 it’s a method that make a cleaner and more consistent cup, enhance the sweetness and the bittersweet notes of the coffee. This coffee brewer lets you handle the water flow into the coffee and helps you to control the taste and extraction of your cup.  

Tip: Pour water on the filter with hot water and throw it away before brewing.

Grind Size: Medium

Amount: 22g

Water: 330ml

Time: 3-4 Mins

 

CHEMEX | DRIP |

With this coffee brewing method, you can do a similar cup as a Dripper or V60, the big difference is that with the Chemex you can do several cups of coffee at the same time with a drip method.

Tip: When you pour the ground coffee into the filter give a gentle shake to even the coffee, allows the water spread more evenly.

Grind Size: Medium-Coarse

Amount: 22g

Water: 330ml

Time: 4 Min

 

ESPRESSO | PRESSURE |

The famous espresso machine it’s an Italian coffee machine that brews coffee with high pressurized water by forcing near boiling point water through a puck of ground coffee.

Tip: Give the tamper a 1/4 spin/turn. This will smooth the grounds for an even extraction.

Grind Size: Fine Grind Size

Amount: 19g

Yield: 48ml

Time: 25 Sec

 

AEROPRESS | INVERTED IMMERSION |

The Aeropress is a lightweight, small manual coffee brewer that force the coffee mixed with water though a filter by pressing the plunger through the main chamber. This coffeemaker is commonly used by adventurers or travelers that want a cup of coffee anywhere and anytime.

Tip: Make sure the entire assembly of your AeroPress is dry and add more water to make it softer as needed.

Grind Size: Fine Grind

Amount: 30g 

Water: 100ml Water

Time: 1 Min

 

MOKA POT | PRESSURE |

This Italian coffeemaker brews coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee. Is famous because you can find it at any kitchen and home around the world.

Tip: Once you hear a hissing sound and the top chamber is full, take the Moka pot off the heat and serve immediately.

Grind Size: Fine Grind

Amount: 30g

Water: 375ml

Time: 1-2 Min
